These terms cover using Genious and paying for Genious Plus. Genious is run by [operator's name and address to be added]. Contact us at privacy@genious.co.uk.

Using Genious

• All revision content (notes, quizzes, exam-style questions with mark schemes, flashcards, videos and past papers) is free. You can use it without an account.
• You need to be 13 or over to create an account. Keep your password private, and don't use Genious to break the law or to stop others using it.
• We work hard to make our content accurate, but it's a revision aid: always check with your teacher and your exam board's own materials. AI marking is done by an AI, which can make mistakes.

Genious Plus

Plus is a paid subscription that adds AI marking on every exam question (up to a daily limit), a personal revision timetable, progress insights and a weekly progress email for a parent. Free accounts get a small number of AI markings each month.

Who can pay

The person who pays must be 18 or over. If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian should pay, for example through the "Ask a parent to pay" link. By paying, you agree to these terms on the student's behalf.

Price and payment

• Plus costs £4.99 a month or £29.99 a year, including VAT where it applies. The price is shown before you pay.
• Payments are taken by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. For yearly plans, we'll remind you by email before it renews.
• If we change the price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

Cancelling

• You can cancel at any time from Account → Your plan → Manage billing. Plus continues until the end of the period you've paid for, then the account goes back to free. Nothing you've saved is deleted.
• Your 14-day right to cancel: because Plus starts straight away, you agree when you pay that it begins immediately. You can still cancel within 14 days of your first payment and get a refund, less a fair amount for the days already used. Email us to ask.
• If a payment fails, Stripe will try again for a few days. If it still fails, the account goes back to free.

Free Plus

We sometimes give Plus free, for example to early users or on a charitable basis. Free Plus may have an end date, which we'll tell you about, and we may end it with notice.

Sharing Genious with friends

• Each account has a link to share. A friend who creates a new account through it gets extra free AI markings, and money off their first month of Plus if they subscribe. The amounts are shown on the sign-up page.
• When a friend who joined through your link has paid for Plus for two months (or, on a yearly plan, once 14 days have passed), you get a month of Plus free: taken off your next payment if you pay, or added as free Plus if you don't. You can earn up to 12 free months a year.
• A friend can only join through one link, only with a new account, and their Plus must be paid for by someone other than you or whoever pays for yours. Refunded payments don't count. Rewards have no cash value.
• Please only share your link with people who'd like it, and never pressure anyone to pay. We may cancel rewards that break these rules, and may change or end the scheme with notice (rewards already earned are kept).

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; we'll show the date at the top and tell account holders about important changes. You can delete your account at any time from your account page; a Plus subscription on it is cancelled at the same time.

Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms affects your rights under UK consumer law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
